Comms System/Entertainment TV

Q: Why is the yellow light on solid and not able to hear or talk with a patient?

A: Switch on power supply on/off. Check circuit breaker may be tripped or power cord is not plugged in all the way.

Q: The sound is not working from TV?

A: The RCA cable may be unplugged or loose. Tighten outer prongs on RCA connector or both end of the cable and re-connect.

Q: Why is there a static noise in the chamber and comms panel when the TV is on?

A: Check RCA cable connection at TV, chassis bulkhead and comms panel. If tight, test system with new RCA cable (approx. 15 ft long) and connect to TV and the back of the comms panel by passing wire harness between comms and chassis. If this fixes the problem replace cable assembly between comms panel and chassis bulkhead. This may require service technician.

Q: Why is the sound in chamber low or muffled from the TV and Tech to patient?

A: Most of the time it is the connection inside the speaker box. Remove cover and unplug connector and re-connect. Sometimes the speaker and mic wire assembly will need to be replaced. A service tech would be needed for replacement.

Power Supply

Q: The back-up battery is dead and/or yellow light comes on comms panel/Red light inside p/s unit?

A: Older style battery is able to be replaced, whereas the new style, you have to replace the complete power supply unit. Make sure the p/s is turned on and has voltage from the wall socket.

Chamber

Q: Why does the chamber have a clunk noise when compressing and decompressing?

A: This issue will require a service tech to replace door and shoulder screws.

Q: Why is the emergency pump time very slow?

A: Replace or clean the muffler inside the chamber.

Q: The chamber will not start

A: Check that the O2 is turned on and that the door is closed and locked.

Q: Why does the chamber start them stop, start then stop?

A: The door, tab for the clippard valve is bent or out of adjustment. With door closed check that the clippard valve lever and door tab are aligned and touching with only a tiny air gap or none. If needed loosen the 2 allen wrench screws on the tab and push tab against the lever on the clippard valve assembly and tighten the screws.

Door Seal

Q: The door seal is leaking at the seam

A: Replace with new seal.
